Anyone know a decent supplier for what i think is an unloader valve?

Are they hard to replace? Its great having the heat option.

Ive found on the vertical boilers sometimes the inner casing has a big hole in it affecting the air flow through the boiler then it’s not really worth trying to repair as sometimes it’s not possible to repair successfully. Burner coils can be replaced but would recommend getting an oem replacement coil but not necessarily from the machine manufacturer as some of the fit of copies is truly shocking

The outer burner casing on mines corroding at the bottom. You can see flames underneath too. Not sure if its supposed to be sealed on the base?

sealed at the bottom the only air going in to the chamber should be through the burner fan intake otherwise it will draw cold air in to the chamber

I need to take a proper look. I’m wortied if i start taking it apart that the burner will disintegrate.

The only place air should exit the burner casing is through the exhaust at the top, anywhere else affects the air to fuel ratio and will cause the burner coil to ‘soot up’ which then affects the air to fuel ratio even more

Just dragging this thread up - the boiler coil appears to have sprung a leak on my machine in the first post. What are the options for this? Its a REALLY useful bit of kit but the boilers (as Brightspark pointed out) are BIIIIGGGG money. Can the coils be repaired? Anyone know a supplier of coils at a reasonable price?!

The coil can be removed from the case fairly easily. It’s a messy job. I have seen these welded if the hole is accessible

Really need to see more of the boiler to tell what type it is as have seen a few of these machines in the last 6 months that seem to have different parts from different manufacturers used to make up the boiler. Not sure dual pumps would sell to direct as I believe they only sell to trade customers

A picture of the removed coil would also help as inlet, outlet pipe orientation and top spacers/mounting can also help identifying it

I replaced the coil on my Karcher, it did cost a chunk of money but the machine is scrap if it's split. To make them last longer it's worth running cold to cool them down and also flush any chemical out.

It does make a big difference having heat.

My boiler tube has seen better days. But it still works and heats well. Are they hard to replace? Its great having the heat option.

When I was a small boy I was a service engineer for one of the agents, we used to pull the coil out and blob weld over the hole, worked no problem as it was usually just a pin hole that stopped them, glad to see the back of that job Jan, Feb March outside messing with water not good!

If I can fix it this way that would be perfect! I didnt expect the coil to be steel for some reason!

Here's another place that make aftermarket boiler coils for hot washers. The fit doesn't always be great but they used to be the cheapest when I worked in the industry!

Been there and done that spent more time trying to get some of these to fit that it would have been cheaper to have bought the original part. Fine if doing it in a workshop but not a good thing to do on site. Fitment hopefully is better than it used to be

I too have many unhappy memories fitting them on site, usually on Karcher cabinet car washes. Due to the local water hardness & quality the boiler coils blocked up & rotted from the inside, descaling was a waste of time & usually resulted in a pinhole in the paper thin coil!

Anything that saw hard use like a car wash needed a new coil annually no matter what one you fitted so we usually fitted the cheapest one at the request of the customer! It was a dirty hard job, usually done in mid winter with the customer breathing down your neck & a queue of cars waiting to be washed! It's no wonder I now suffer from neck, shoulder & back problems!
