Got called many years ago, turned up but we were discharged before going in. Case had been settled five minutes before it was due to be heard.
Me too.Yes but got an exemption on medical grounds.

That happens a lot, I worked a few years as a water bailiff and could be sitting in a court from 9am until 2pm waiting to be called then told to go home as they pled guilty just as their case was called.What an unconscionable waste of everyone's time and money.
Seems quite common...I think they basically chance their arm in the hope that the witness(es) don't turn up on the day. As soon as they see the witnesses have turned up they plead!they pled guilty just as their case was called.
Did you get away with it?I turned up with a smart short haircut, pressed jeans and braces and freshly polished Doc Martins. I didn't stay long.
