Another shed

Well with our last shed almost finished it seemed fitting to start on mine thst I've been planning for past couple of years. So I've made the steel frame last year and painted it, aswell as laying the concrete slab last year but now the time has come to erect it all so heres our progress

Were currently waiting to get some flashing folded up and I have roller shutter here but would like bigger so we'll see on that one.

The shed looks authentically aged as all the sheets were from an old building in work thst was reclaimed and obviously I was keen to recycle them

How did the cost of making the frame compare with getting one ready made? And would a ready made one have been galvanised?

youve done all that work and it apears that you havent lined it as a second protection or have an ability to insulate it

However it may appear to you. youd be wrong , it's got 40mm insulated sheets all round, roof and walls, and the door i have is an isulated roaster doors so I think it should be more than insulated enough for me to play in the shed.

If i remeber correctly it's cost around £1200 in steel, i didn't bother checking how much would ve to buy done but I expect it to be a lot more as for galvanised you could have that if you wanted to pay for it but not really needed in this environment

Normally the frames are painted on that type of steel frame building, galvanising is extra. The pressed steel bolt together kits as shown by gaz are usually galvanised. Some of these are all bolted up others use tech screws galore.

If you are wanting a building ringing round is well worth while, as prices vary a fair bit for the kits. Tis cladding and roofing options drive the price up. Its not uncommon to see miss orders or used frames on facebook market place or agri groups

im glad that you have done it and corrected what i said but from the pics it didnt look that you had done so

at least you had thought of it and prepared and done it for your own peace of mind
