Most people couldn't identify a heart attack if it hit them in the face with a dayglo yellow sledgehammer... The arsing about with attaching pads and waiting for the machine to decide it's actually a traumatic amputation the person is suffering from can be used more effectively.
There was a caller on one of those tv emergency programs t'other day where the woman was screaming about her daughter having anal bleeding - until a baby came out.
That's what we're dealing with when the public is involved - which is a shame and makes me really hope I'm never in any sort of accident where I might like to rely on anyone else.
