I think the general thing with motoring now is the gubmint is going to make owning a car such a faff, so expensive and such an all around pain in the fundament, that people give up. What else could it be ?

It appears the police are not allowed to tow them away ..I would , hand cuff on one wrist the other end to a towing bracket & suddenly the road gets cleared ,rarely to be blocked by the twerps ever again.

Had to find a disabled persons parking bay next to some public toilets in London when I was desperate for the loo No's 1 & 2 . I stopped looked at the sat nav .. looked up saw it 30 yards away on our left . Just about to turn into it .....Bagger this is now a bus only lane , entry via a one way street some one & a half miles away during rush hour .

I turned into the parking . The Auto ticket fine was waiting for me back here in Wales when we go home two days later . I tried to appeal it ..NFC .. I hope the adjudicator ends up in the same predicament every day for the rest of their misbegotten lives.

They have put another 50mph speed limit just past Port Talbot on the M4 to cut down emissions. Funny how they blame cars with the stink coming from the steel works!
And what about electric cars? Do they have to stick to the limit as well?

Westbound. As you get alongside Intertissue just before the flyover. But you must turn off for Fabian way.
But apparently those cameras are still not live but who knows when they will turn them on?
Also remember you are allowed 10% leeway.

You have to apply to TfL for Historic car exemption. TfL bought the data to enable them to fine you, but didn't pay the extra for Historic status. Hence you have to apply.

Both sections have average cameras now. It is the new section that apparently aren't live yet.

I have to go to Birmingham for work a couple times a month. The building I go to is 100 yards inside the zone so I am told. I am fancying taking the wheelbarrow in the van as well and sticking all the stuff in that and wheeling t all down the street.

Also some cars are more efficient at 60 than 50 for example.

My Surf only clicks into overdrive at 55MPH so doing 50mph burns more diesel

Born and raised in west London and left after 55 years of gradual decline. It was great but now living in the country and paying a visit back recently I can see objectively how "yuk" it is. Stuff it. The thing that tipped it over for me , the council insisted a parking permit was now required in our street and we would pay for the privilege . 300 parking spaces in our street and thousands of tickets sold to any one who payed. Arriving home from work and nowhere to park even though money had been spent was too much.

Why do people with cars buy houses with no off street parking.....?? A House on my road has no off street parking but the family have 4 cars - I just don't get it. Does it p*ss me off....? Oh yes.

When I lived in Walthamstow, we lived in a flat that was part of the Warner Estate, they had hundreds if not thousands of houses in Walthamstow, Leyton and Leytonstone.
If any work needed doing on the house, their workman would pull a handcart with all their tools, bags of dust, sand etc. You could have put a horse between the shafts, instead two blokes pulled it.
No tax, no MOT, no insurance. The wheels were about four foot in diameter.

You could be on to something there OR you could just buy a knackered LHD Audi A4 on RO plates and do what I want...
