The holes should be fine but depends on how accurate the groove needs to be. Haven’t done huge amounts of 3d printing but different materials can bridge better than others.
Printing Rechargeable battery adapters. Most of us will have old power tools with no batteries and newer power tools with good batteries. How doable is it I wonder.
For example you could print something to hold your battery and screw the top of the old battery to it to save printing / recycle some connectors
