4wd rear engined project, before I'm too old - v6 engine recommendations please?

Very expensive for what they are as the ford boys like them

The ford v6 is narrower than the vauxhall equivalent
There was a ford Ka with a vectra v6 in the front of it

At the moment I'm thinking Ford mt75. Sure, it has its limitations, but for a na engine it will be fine.

Yes, he used an Audi gearbox iirc, broke the first one (Jag engine na).

Transverse engine and the diffs are sealed for life

And the diffs are made of chocolate too if you go anywhere near sticky or aggressive tyres.

Volvo gearboxes are sealed for life too...so when the oil fails the box fails and you just buy a new gearbox!

I prefer to just change the oil!

ford v6
Nissan v6
Rover v6

After you have these figures I’d be looking at the most compatible gearbox

I know of 3 reps, one is BMW 3.0 straight 6, one is Nissan VQ35, one is Jag V6

So the Nissan is widely tuned here and abroad(USA mostly and Japan) so ‘should’ be the cheapest for power increase

Oh yes, they were our default engine for most of the racers, here and france, there's loads about. Had one in the old fouquet with 400+ horsepower and reliable without needing overhauls every year, etc.
