About 20 years ago it’s long long been doneGive Millyard 2 'busa's and tell him to make a v6
Alternatively, i would probably vote your MG unit for the proto 1

Now you have my attention - 9k rpm? Presumably steel rods and lightweight race pistons, cams as well? For ours? N/A to fit in class rules as a 3.5L
The only thing that would make it a little tricky to daily at that would be it ran cold race plugs so it was a bitch to start if the temp was below 10c, but it was tractable from 3.5krpm to 9krpm

It's going to be a v6....
List is getting shorter.
Jaguar 3litre (s type)
Nissan/Renault 3 litre
MGkv6 2.5 (cos I have a couple here allready)
Honda Accord 3 litre (the only one which has off the shelf tuning bits, so could be cheaper to modify)
Hmm, not sure if it is much shorter. Thanks everyone for your help and advice, greatly appreciated.
Sho, mish moneypenny, you shuggesht I should go to iron block?Another worthy contender is Fords V6 SHO, built and developed by Yamaha. Revs to the moon without the need for any internal mods and is very tuneable.

I had a google of foucartFoucart in France is your go-to man for 350z engines, he's built hundreds of rally motors out of them at this point, although you can get a lot of stuff like pistons and cams from the states, and I can point you to a builder over here if you prefer.
There's so many of his motors around you could probably just fit a stock engine for now and just buy one of his second hand when they pop up.
The man certainly has skillsOh yes, he's famous for building wild engines in his shed. He did a 3.6 litre W12 as well but rolled it on it's first outing so there's not much footage of that one, as well as a 2.0L downstroked Mclaren V12 and other weird and wonderful stuff, supercharged ZX14R's, rotaries, etc.
Speaking of the V16 the car you hear pull up at the end of this one is me
