One step at the timeI'm sure you are right, same can be said for any 3 in 1 or 'multi tool' really.
If these machines won't take the disposable argon bottles then I may forget the whole thing and get a cheap plasma cutter,.....I would love to move up to a TIG machine one day but realistically I can't afford or justify one. I've just learnt about these 3 in 1 types so you can see why I were interested in the first place??
I think that if you want you can, just need to figure out the best way to accomplish your goals.
Example I cannot afford a NEW lathe but I would like to have a lathe .
Always thought I might buy one used or "cheap" on eBay but I can't really justify the cost .
So after watching repairatons on YouTube (The Post Apocalyptic Inventor ) I figured out that I can find a small industrial lathe from the scrapyard ,for fairly cheap
(0,20 euros/kg)
Same for the milling machine
I'm not saying that you have to go at the scrapyard for a welder but think about compromises .
I would like to have a Fronius TP 150 a day
I can't justify it right now but I can justify a parweld xts with similar specs (cheaper )
Same thing about your question
If you want Tig you have to go with an AC/DC unit ,read a review about a Sherman product here the other day , should be produced by jasic.
I think that costs little bit more than a Chinese 3 in 1 unit (30% more ) but you actually have a Tig
Stamos Is another option (I have a stick welder from them and I like it)
Stahlwerk as well another option
Sherman
Magnum ect
All "German" brands (cheap products but enough good in some way) that use Chinese manufacturing , cheap but enough good for the task , always better than unknown manufacturer
