Was the Ford Cougar not meant to be the Capri revamped….in my opinion Fords have lost any element of almost decent motors, just another tin box on wheels might as well be a fridge freezer on wheels. Though these has the look

Ford tried a coupe after the Crapri with the ill fated Probe first , cant say id want to drive around in something called Probe ! nice looking car though clearly not Ford designed though more like Mazda



Then came the Cougar my friend actually had one not for long though hateful thing nothing but trouble bet they are even rarer than Capris now

There’s a Mustang in my town, it’s loud, but I can’t tell what motor it has, it just sounds horrible, really rough and guttural. The driver likes to play to the crowds, but Ive only ever seen people grimace when he passes by.

A mate had a Probe and yes we did take the pizz out of him it was a Mazda underneath but not a bad car really.
I had a 2.5 V6 Cougar and it was a nice car to be fair,not that powerful at about 160bhp but it did rev well!
It always pinked thought and I could never get to the bottom of it
Sold it for a shyit 2.2 Vauxhall Omega when the sprog was on his way

My dad had an original Capri with a 351 Cleveland V8 in it and a 4 speed manual.
