No sunstrip and no style.
In my old home town three of the town Love Rats drove Capris into the 2000's.
None of them or any of their many bimbos would have been seen dead in that thing.

Well it is a completely different vehicle for obvious reasons.

To be fair if I squint a bit I can see similarities especially the rear end, side on but I'd have the iconic classic any day.

I really can't understand the regurgitation of the names. The original shape and design was what we all fondly remember.
This should have been called a Ford Uxbridge.

Another nondescript 2020s blob car. Sigh. Could be a Kia, a Vauxhall, a Renault, nobody would know.

That doesn't even slightly resemble a capri, if I'd seen that pic without being told it's based on a capri I wouldn't have guessed what it was. At least with the fiat 500, beetle and mini you can see what they were based on.

bonnet isnt nearly long enough to be called a capri...a crapi, maybe, but its no capri

The new Mustang must be the biggest downgrade of a name ever. So many names you could imagine, why devalue a name with such magnificent history just to cash in on buyer recognition for a few years?

I guess i doesnt really maybe only to a few old farts that can remember owning the originals but they obviously tried a few similarity'sto the originals , to me a Capri or Mustang is a 2 door coupe and thats tthe end of it .

Wow, that is on par with the new BMWs for ugliness. I agree about the regurgitation of old names, it's pointless but it makes me think of the state of cinema over the last 10+ years. Most films are either remakes or the same film as pt1..2…3 etc

Also why are almost all cars now some kind of SUV/Cross over thing?
