It’s in good condition, original and I didn’t want to mess with it. I thought what’s the chances of me getting it out and back in without damaging it and getting it fitted as well as it is now. So I left it in place.I thought you'd have painted under it, you've painted everywhere else, not having a dig, I just wondered if there was a reason.
Given how you've stripped the car right down why didn't you take out the headliner?
It’s not a job I fancy either. Probably a bit easier with the car on the rotisserie.Having taken mine out of the MG (roof liner and cant rails) before the shell was painted, I’ve now reached my absolute limit of skill to refit them. I know it’s going to look a right dogs dinner if I’m not careful, so much so, that I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve walked away from the job.
