Blocked the boot lid down today. I made a start yesterday with a long flat block but that was no good as it's a compound curve so changed today to my Mirka adjustable block and a flexible block. Think it's turned out good. Will give it a couple of coats of epoxy and put to the side and start blocking the car.

I wanted to experiment a bit on getting a clean finish so gave the room a good clean then wetted it down. Used a drop cloth to filter the inlet, will get a new one and make a frame and will work well. Turned out nice and clean but I put too much paint on down the bottom, I'm no professional but getting better. Used a 1.4mm tip spraying the epoxy to get a smooth finish and apart from too much paint the orange peel wasn't too bad.

Snowing and cold here today so of course I thought it was a good idea to do some spray painting.

Did a sealing wet on wet coat of epoxy and then a couple of coats of 2k single stage topcoat. My wee diesel heater just couldn't get the heat into the room so was slow drying. Got the electric heater out at the end and that helped but got a few dust nibs because it was so slow drying. This paint is normally pretty quick. I still need to flat it down for another two coats of topcoat with 25% clear. Will be after Christmas.

Made a start on converting the back workshop room to a spray room and general workshop space. Added the exhaust fans to the entrance and sealed it nicely. Next I will add filters in the rear ceiling and then go to town sealing the room up.

Cut out the intake filter holes in the ceiling. Horrible hob. Big difference in the smooth air flow from when there was just a small hole to the finished cut out holes. Once the filters go in they might restrict things a bit. Ideally I think the whole back 1/3 of ceiling would be filters. I need to improve the lighting, seal up all the gaps, paint the walls and ceiling and run a air line.
