Thanks. It's been quite a while since I did that repair. I don't recall the gauge offhand, but the new metal matched the gauge of the original floor. If you'd like, I can check the thickness for you when I have a moment.When you did your battery box repair, what gage steel did you use, and what is the purpose of the small tab in the corner?

Cool project! There certainly were a lot of different K6 configurations. That's quite a hefty-looking winch on it. That should keep you busy for a while!DO NOT EXPECT THIS STANDARD OF RESTORATION on my 1944 Austin K6, it will be as usual done to driver quality not museum standard!
