Any Rolex Watch Experts?

Loved my watch, it got lost (stolen) but it was not insured (learnt a tough lesson )
As previously mentioned by others I also have a tablet a PC and a phone that all tell the time. However I have had to purchase a cheaply watch as I am unable to recall what the time is seconds after looking at a device unless it is on my wrist.
I can glance at a watch and then my brain works out that it was about 10 mins ago, look at watch and normally about right. Look at my phone etc and it just does not register in the same way.

No problem mate, it would appear there are many watch fans on here so you can all fill yer boots, it's not bothering me or the thread at all

That's very interesting, when I look at a watch I don't read the time as numbers like when I look at the time on a digital device, with the latter you can't say "the big hand is pointing at Noddy and the little hand has just gone past Big Ears".

Then when someone asks "How long are you going to be fixing that machine" I look at my watch and say "About 15 minutes" - as if knowing the time now affects how long a job will be. I think looking at watch gives you a sense of time.

The Update:

Went to see the Rolex 'expert' and he was not in due to some family problem, his understudy had a look at the watch and decided it showed all the signs of being genuine with no obvious fake alarms screaming at him, it was however a look and nothing else because he is not yet qualified/allowed to take the back off.

'Leave it with us' was the request, he wondered why I started laughing, I said I would if the receipt had the serial number on it, only visible if the strap is removed, his answer was he is not even allowed to remove a strap.

I am thinking this understudy perhaps could be doing community service for being a bad boy or was someone they found in the back doing nothing and told to go and amuse that good looking welder out front

The very attractive sales lady, in fact drop dead gorgeous and obviously there just to distract me while they switch watches said it is a beautiful watch and once verified they would love to have it...I liked her a lot until I felt a sharp pain in the ribs and remembered I was not alone

So...no wiser and it will go back in storage until I am next in the vicinity of someone who knows what they are talking about.

Yes sure was, although in fairness I suspect the reason the main guy was off was quite serious and those that were there had been affected by whatever it was so I am ok with it, was going Carlisle anyways for some top quality designer gear from Primark.
