OH YES.
My friends Canal boat decided the water wanted to come inside to get warm. So I ended up helping out. The only change is I dropped a 16a blue sausage plug onto it.
The green thing behind the Ryobi was done with it as well.

I thought I did well getting about 40 foot of Ali scaffolding poles earlier for the grand total of a tenner, (guy didn't want anything but gave him a tenner for a couple of pints) puts mine to shame lol

I got 4 X 20 litre bucket of grease unopened form a place that was binning them because the labels had fell off and h&s said they couldn't be used.

Sardine, that Krautkramer DME would still find a home on our rental fleet if it worked OK, they're good kit. Is there a probe with it? The disc inset in the front panel is a (IIRC) 5mm reference, a bit of couplant (spit will do it) and you'll soon know if it works.
The Sonatest instruments will be either working fine or scrap; their gear is notoriously difficult to repair or find info on.

Aren't you supposed to replace hard hats every so often, or after they get clumped? Seems kinda silly to use a second hand one of a skip, with unknown history.

Beats me, i hate the bleedin' things. If i can get away with not having to wear one, i will.

I tried the DME, and I'm getting 1.2 mm for the calibration disk. Looks like its faulty to me.
