there also used to be a program called biker build off, used to have loads of different guys from all over on there, really good but aint seen it on for a while not even repeats

I know in these day's all the agro is just for ratings....but is it, I get the feeling you have actually visited Boyd's place Steve, if Duane is such a nice guy why is he constantly ragging on the staff, some people deserved it imho , and I am glad that some of them were let go, if you have visited Boyd's otherwise you wouldn't comment on Duane's personality I take my hat off to you, it was something I always wanted to do from being a 14 teen year old teenager which was when I first came across Boyd's work in Custom Car magazine, I have always been a hotrodder at heart and have dabbled when I have been home on leave and had time. I thoroughly appreciate the work of craftsmen, used to love ally pally and seeing all hard work and sweat that had gone into those cars. I read that after Boyd's death and Jo taking over Duane asked for more money for doing what he does and she fired him, who knows.....more gossip.?

Yes i've been there many times Sean, I knew most of the guys personally.

What you have to realise its all for TV, what the veiwer see's IS NOT real, the tv people ask them to act up to make it interesting.

It riles me a bit when people bad mouth these guys having never met them and have no idea of whats going on behind the scenes.

Trust me they are all talented and nice blokes.

I saw Duane appear in a few episodes of Custom my ride (west coast customs) along with the Swedish body guy

TBH I've never rated Boyds stuff at all and his management skills were dreadful. The only guy there with serious talent was the metal basher guy who passed away, his name escapes me.

That sounds like it was "Build or Bust" with Russell Mitchell from Exile Cycles.
I just had a nose round £47k's worth Exile cycles trike this afternoon....lots of brushed aluminium and quite small.
I think it was put together in this country by Battistinis, who i was told went bust last week.

Unfortunately it is the nature of tv today, if that is what you see that's the impression you take with you, personally I have great respect for nearly all the guys there apart from Blueberry who I only ever saw as an unsettling influence, I have no doubt they were all hugely talented, and never set out to intentionally bad mouth anyone, and I hope that comes over Steve.

Bluebear was the one that annoyed me the most, just messing around the whole time and doing everything for a laugh.I enjoyed what they did and the cars looked awesome on the telly anyway!

But if they were really talented nice guys then why would they let themselves get sucked into the TV set up rubbish, im sure they make enough money without the show, so its not like they need it ?

They seem so willing to be fake for tv when they are really talented, the two dont seem to go together usually.
