ok l accept l am a bit odd
but for many years the idea of living underground has appealed to me, something about the saftey and sercurity of being in a cave perhaps, l dunno but it has often crossed my mind that l would like to have a go at biulding/digging one, l have several full sized excavators and a sizable piece of land with a siutable area so l have a headstart here, its more the design, logistics, and wether l tell anyone
( council
) that changes with the wind lol
l was following a grain silo on the back of a lorry yesterday that started me thinking about it again. it was obviously lying down on the back of the lorry and as l passed it l thought what a nice caravan it would make and that made me think about an earth shelter again, where l got to last time was a fiberglass tank
concrete might be a more common construction methord but its probabally more costly but more importantly l cant sneak it in one night under the cover of darkness
and if l do get caught l will be hard pressed to think of a reasonable reason why its there, where as with a fiberglass tank l might be able to claim its a septic tank for my portaloo
but it would be entily feasable to get it in place one night and covered over
before anyone saw it,
anyway what l would like to disscuss is the suitability of fiberglass as a underground home, or not if it isent
