I agree about the yellow it does stick out a bit lol and il defo take you up on the offer

you are welcome to a drive, l will give you a shout when its up and running, might be in the snow though but that will be cool
and the yellow has to go it looks like a circus with too many bright colours, l think the suspension bits l painted grey dont look right either will have to try them in black

thermal undies would be more use than winter knobblies lol, you realise this buggy has no front panels and with your trouser legs facing forwards in the snow a brass monkey would be very worried indeed
cycle clips at the very least me thinks




finished the gearbox
l have stripped it and switched the LSD into it from the t series turbo box, quite suprised myself with this as gearboxes are something you give to someone else to fix and whats even more suprising is that l can still select the gears now its back together

once the gearbox was back on the engine l dropped it back into the frame so as l could work out where the rad and the fuel tank are going to live

mower is still there at the other end of the garage, havent stopped work on it completely just had the last of the laser cutting done for it, and the cutting deck is waiting for me to collect it from the shotblasters where it has been blasted and primed

l find about 4 projects at a time is about right summer one winter one spring one and autum one

l need a side project like a hole in the head lol, you have no idea how many side projects l already have

anyway l wanted to carry on with the buggy this weekend but the garage was in such a state l just couldent so l spent all day saturday emptying the crap out and having a good sweep and tidy up, so much better when its done but what a waste of a day



so with that out of the way it was onto painting the suspension bits , dont you just love getting bits back from the
powdercoaters and getting some paint on them

and they dont make them plastic bins like they used too, a few little nuts and bolts and they collapse

and eventually l managed to get round to working on the buggy, made the radiator mounts and got the seat bolted in, not much progress for a weekend really

oh and the brake discs went for a spin in the lathe and then the drill

and some of the suspension components found there way home from the blasters

well whilst powder coating may or may not be better it would pre supose l knew what l was doing and had planned ahead
it would not allow me to grind the paint off and weld on tabs like l have above for the radiator bracket
true l will have to paint the buggy again but l will enjoy flatting it down and painting it again, think l must have been an artist in a previous life as l enjoy painting

bit more progress, sorted out where the silencer is going to live, will have to swap those zip ties for high temprature ones no doubt

steering column is taking more than its fair share of time to sort out

its the electric power steering off the mgf, wouldent normally bother with power steering on a rear engined buggy but l have used a 2.4 to 1 rack and then a doubler that halves the amount of turns so its 1.1 turns lock to lock which makes it at least twice as heavy to turn so l thought l would use the power steering since it came free with the car
