That's the unfortunate thing about most types of racing now. It's so expensive to do there is no room/opportunity for the shed built stuff which (IMHO) makes a lot of it pretty dull.
One thing I noticed was the amount of homebuilt, brought to Pendine in a hire van, quite a few. Some run what ya bring modern stuff (r1, Hiyabusa etc) too. The turbo frame thing was built by a Dutchman, long way to come!
I should be able to cross reference something as they're fairly generic in terms of spec. These aren't original packaging as they came with the wires already fixed, so it appears someone has had a go at 'soldering' along with trying to splice the wires.

Get the same on the stationary engine groups, the magneto rebuilding experts advise folks to steer clear of NOS condensers.A lot of the groups and forums for old bikes like this seem to have people willing to pay silly money for NOS stuff. Clearly they're not aware that condensers from the '60s and '70s are well past their sell by date.
I mean JFC, what's the world coming to? No doubt H&S/Union involvement is preventing someone who's skilled at keeping things in the air from sorting a simple machine on the ground. 
But if you employ an expensive aviation engineer, would you rather still pay them a load of cash to fix something they know nothing about, rather than earning you money on what you employed them for? Or pay someone else who has a better idea? And probably cheaper...no offenceI know we've done the subject to death, but an enquiry I've just had has taken it to a new level for me. I was asked if I could take a look at a bandsaw which was "making a noise" from what they're saying it's a bearing, but it's a big thing so it'd need to be done on site which I don't do.
