We've had several such unfortunate experiences after kitchen fitters have been working close by or after they have gone .Yesterday - I parked about 5 miles away to send some messages, a taxi parked up behind me and got out. He then drove to the other side of the road to give himself access to his completely flat nearside front. It was awful to watch, I'd always put some air in first! I would have offered to help but he was a taxi, and while I wasnt aware until today, I have lost my cars pump and puncture kit (which had my only tube of glue inside)
I found my own, Screw.

Odd is that the head has no visible damage, so must have picked it up very close to home, but wonder if we hit the same scattering of screws?
Found spare tools and strings, but no glue/lube, so a spray of brake cleaner was used instead.

Irritating thing is either I am getting weak, car tires stronger... But reallly struggled to insert it and bent the insertion tool several times in the process! It was well reamed before hand.
I saw the other day, halfords now stock the string kits for £8 quid, almost got one, and might tomorrow as a spare.
The worse incident was three tyres punctured on four days . Local tyre repair centre showed me over 80 cupped plaster board screws from punctures that happened with 1/2 a mile of my address. Yup a builder was refurbishing an old house throughout . Yet they had an 8 yard skip in the garden so it might not have been them but someone else strewing them all over the road .
The council came along with a big electro magnet bar on the front of a Transit Tipper and swept the road several times .. . The guys doing it said there must have been close on a full box of 1,000 screw picked up by the magnet
