I have a plastic set that I keep on my desk - the label on the back says Carbon Fiber Composites but I suspect it’s just stiff plastic!
Battery life is excellent so far, and the accuracy seems to be spot on, albeit with a lower resolution.
Whatever it’s made of, it’s VERY handy to have indoors for the odd measuring job.
The lidl calipers are only 0.1mm resolution. I got a set for my dad for christmas, precisely because they're imprecise.
With resolution like that, it doesn't matter how good your technique is. It really is a guessing stick, but better than a tape measure or a 12" rule.

I bought a pair of similar from Aldi, they both failed within a year, started telling porkies etc. Use them for marking now..

I bought a set of sockets like these from ebay and complained for the very same reason (not cr-mo as advertised). They offered a £10.00 refund, so I kept them.

Almost shat myself when I pulled the safety valves puller! I was not expecting new compressor to be shipped with 5 bar in the tank!
Does appear very good, tho the air fitting is a larger sort, so will want to swap it.
Question is was it shipped at 5 bar or 8 bar and lost a bit in the post as it got thrown around?

I have better sockets. For what I ended up paying they are worth the money as it's quite a comprehensive set. I won't be using them on my impact drivers, just with a ratchet or smaller breaker bar. Will I break one? probably.
Just looked at your picture again and I'd say your sockets look better than the ones I received.

I've used them today, my neighbor Punto decided to die and since he allow me to use his yard and garage to fix mine every once in awhile.
I've had to make it run again.
So that's how I've ended up replacing the timing belt sprocket on the crankshafts and doing the timing belt essentially.
I've used them with a DTW 700 clone wich delivers quite a punch, they held up well but we are talking about nothing special just few M10 and 12 bolts plus an M12x1.25 bolt.
Tomorrow I'll finish to assemble the car.
I might just let the things go and keep them.
But I'm going to get a couple of those sockets organizer strips because the box is very flimsy and I honestly won't have to have the sockets fall to my feet while moving them around

That’s what the big handle is for so can grip it so tightly that you leave finger prints in it along with the skid marks in your pants.

It took every ounce of strength I could muster to hang onto the hateful thing and turn it around to find the stupidly positioned switch. Not a Makita though - it’s a Chinese thing.
I hate the thing with a passion now. So much so that I gave away the brand new spare I had.
The tiny razor blades it produces that get everybloodywhere also pi55 me off royally too!

They used 2 foot long hi frequency die grinders in the fettling shop at the foundry, if the operators wanted a break they would jam the burr into a casting and turn it on, then wait for the magic smoke to escape before bringing it to me for repair. It would take me about 30 minutes to repair until I realised I had enough spare parts to make up a couple of complete grinders so the next time one came in with the operator expecting a nice tea/smoke break I gave him a replacement immediately, I think the word got around as there were a lot less break downs after that
