The only good thing to do with sprouts is to plough them under.![]()
Evacuate the room shortly after.fortunately any sprouts on my plate, are eaten by the dog,
Cook it until it vaporises and goes out through the extractor fan so you don't have to eat it.Is it possible to over cook such a thing ?
I've cooked loads of sprouts this year and they've been lovely. Par boil, just a few minutes, drain then refill pan with cold water and drain again. Fry up a pile of chopped up streaky bacon until it's crispy. Remove but leave the fat in the pan. Add chopped vacuum packed chestnuts and fry till then colour slightly. Remove and put with the bacon. Put the sprouts back in with a splash of water, cover and cook for a couple of minutes. Remove the lid, add some butter, fry for another couple of minutes, chuck the bacon and chestnuts back in. Stir it all around for a minute, tip it out and eat.
I give you edible sprouts!
