I'm currently using a dozen or more empty clear plastic wide mouthed screw top fruit juice bottles as storage devices as it's way to see what's inside be they stood on a shelf or in a deep drawer. There is a decent variety of bottle sizes too . Even got several of the clear plastic small food flavouring /colouring bottles with caps . Once empty , well washed & dried they're very handy for super small stuff.

My Bambu H2D has silicone boots as standard & I've had a nozzle clog. The Prusa didn't have a silicone boot & I never had clog in 5300 hours of printing. I don't think the silicone boot helps or hinders with clogs inside the nozzle.

The comparison between the Prusa and Bambu is interesting (I know you have a thread going already dr.al) but since nozzle blocking has been mentioned, I do wonder if you compare it by filament laid down or work done what the 5300 hours on the prusa equates to in Bambu?
I’ve only got a little a1 mini but when the wick is turned up to the 21mm3 volume that the bambu pla filament settings allow the things absolutely railing (I have much more faith in leaving long petg prints because of this).
Presumably that must mean higher pressure at the snozzle. I don’t know if that would lead to an increased likelihood of a blockage?

Interesting point, but the Bambu's up to only a few hundred hours so far so even with the faster print rate it's miles behind the Prusa.
That seems quite plausible & might well explain it. I can't remember whether the blockage was with the Bambu PETG-HF filament or the Deeplee Rapid PETG stuff I now mostly use (using the Bambu PETG-HF profile}, but if it was the latter then it might also be related to an imperfect profile (although in general the Deeplee stuff prints really well).

I'd think its more to do with the filament than the printer. I've done quite a bit of printing on the p2s and not had any clogs yet.
Dislike the idea of blow torching a nozzle. If the filement was not petg, then a soak in acetone may be a good way to clear it. Acetone wont touch petg but will soften and disolve many plastics.

Hot air gun from a soldering station might be a better choice...can precisely set the temp

Your completely correct Al your new bambu printer hasn’t even broken itself in yet, in comparison. I wasn’t really making that comment as an observation on your specific circumstances so much as a general thought that occurred to me when thinking about all the hours of work your prusa has done.
(As a side note hopefully your bambu will become as reliable as your prusa has been. They seem to be continually ironing out wrinkles with the firmware updates from what I’ve half noticed while blindly clicking yes to all the updates!
)All just my musings really as is hopefully obvious I haven’t got a clue really…
