Id say an early one as its needs the reinforced tank as theres no top tube in the frame, if I had to guess 63 /64…could be a 5TA though.

A detail bit with a couple of points to note on the rear light which needed to stay.
The bodge was obvious, so new wires spliced on, heat shrink to protect the connections, then braid to protect the wires with heat shrink at each end to keep it neat and a heat shrink over the joint to give some strain relief at that point. Followed by another heat shrink where it comes through the panel to prevent chafe damage, followed by a grommet for the same.

I sold one last year frame was also 59 registered in 63.
Do you make your own new looms so you know the quality of them & have a little spare cable at the terminations or buy them in

For most things yes, but for old British stuff no. The off the shelf looms (UK made Lucas) for them are a step up in quality compared to the originals and widely available so it doesn't make sense from the point of cost to the customer. They're also pretty much bang on in terms of length and layout, so the only stuff I have to make will be the bits after the main loom and/or for things which have been added.

I guess we’re not trying hard enough to be super cool.
I must admit that having said that my trousers seem to hang halfway down my backside. Not because I want to be associated with the youth of nowadays but purely down to being an old fart with an ever changing body shape !

Very much depends on any offers of "man hugs" and any other beastly familiar sort of behaviour.
I had presumed that it would be a gathering of kindred spirits for a few drinks, a laugh and a catch up rather than an opportunity to bond, find your inner child, centre your chi, compare man buns, review beard oils, or any other such bo****ks.

I learned years ago when working in Tesco after school: I hated sitting at the checkouts (too much human contact), so if they put me on the checkouts I just made eye contact with customers and glowered at them, so I got negligible customers as folk used all the other tills. The bosses learned to leave me stacking the shelves.
When we had to get photo's at work for our Skype/Teams profile I told a colleague that I was channelling the look of a well known film character, amazingly she guessed immediately - Hannibal Lecter: I was HR Manager for the Local Authority - who would be stupid enough to appoint an Engineer as an HR professional!
