The customer owns a field where he takes it and lets the grand kids have at it. I don't think it's seen any sort of maintenance in quite a while, the engine oil was like black **** which will have contributed to the starter clutch issues. Overall it's an expensive lesson for him in care and maintenance of machinery. It looks like it needs a new chain as well. I had a new RF900 back in the day. It was a peach of an engine good low down torque great midrange and would scream to the red line. And the gearbox was the best of any bike I've ever ridden.A bit of deconstruction and washing up going on today.
This RF900 engine is the most likely candidate for the Dresda frame, so as I had some time I've pulled it down so that I can use the empty cases to see how it fits/looks. If all's OK there I can then see about rebuilding it with some enhancements.

They're an often overlooked and underrated bike IMHO. The suspension let them down a bit as it was to a budget, but the engine is a peach.I had a new RF900 back in the day.
