Log Fires - the future?

I want to know how much biogas I can make from my half acre of greenery and free cow manure.

My guess is about enough to light the odd cigarette

As you know I burn scrap pallet wood. The thicker stuff from 2 way pallets thst nobody wants. Incredibly clean burning. Only a tiny bit of smoke on start. No smells outside the house not that I have any neighbours. I even save all the nails for scrap

No. My mate who strips the pallets runs them through a horizontal band saw. It cuts the nails in the gap between the block or bearers and the planks.
I just chuck the wood in the fire. Use a magnet to get rid of all the nails.

because im cutting it up with a circular saw

i used to strip all the wood off of everything and then flatten the nails to the planks by standing on them

nowadays i cut the strips off and leave the nails in the wood then i get a nailed block thats 4 x 6" thick so i just throw that in

when cleaning out the ashes its a magnet but i dont need to do on mine as i dont have air flow under the ashes but if i did i would need the magnet first

Better but I still can't work out how the cut is horizontal, I haven't heard of kickback from an axe

I found that it was a complete waste of time and despite making a "shroud" to increase the potential warm air I could never feel any warm air movement . didn't run the chimney at a glowing red hot temp though. Quite fascinating thing to watch instead of the TV though.

I've never noted any real difference, but they ought make some difference, in theory.

Definitely helps move the air about I've found, if it makes a massive difference I doubt it but every little helps

Barely..
I have a cooling fan from an oven under our burner..
Pushes cool air behind the box and around the flue into the room, flex hidden to nearest socket
