no suspended seat unfortunately and not much room to move. i can pretty much alternate from feet on the floor, to feet extended infront of me.your job won't be helping your back problems. I was told by my osteo that you shouldn't be in the same place for more than twenty minutes at a time. Now, realistically, that's not always possible. I don't know the layout of your cab, but do you have a suspended seat in there? Try adjusting that. It took me a fair few months to get my FLT seat in just the right position for it to be really comfortable. Biggest problem was there were three of us using the truck over 24 hours and I had to adjust it at the start of my shift every time.
not a lot of room to stretch and a lot of the work i do involves holding heavy loads for extended periods while people work around it so cant exit the cab at those times either.
i have started a discussion with my employer today about breaking my week up with some slinging work and possibly moving to a supervisors role for short periods to get me out of the cab and more active
