I must confess till you posted I thought it was a small rowing boat's anchor .What a cool sheep sculpture - really clever in its simplicity!
Not really... There's a tiny museum not far from me that under French regs to be a registered charity opens its doors for free once a year for a weekend (Journees du Patrimoine) that has steam trains much older than the above. Some more,I wonder if the French have come late to railway preservation?im loving the observation hatch for the drive

Damn it!Or ploughed fields![]()
Yes,with a basket of eggs on the back seat, unbroken after the trip, very long suspension travel.Your photos are interesting.
I believe the 2CV was originally designed as a French agricultural vehicle to carry goods across plowed fields.
I don't think it was designed as an agricultural vehicle, more as a car for their millions of small farmers that would do everything, including carrying an unbroken basket of eggs, across a ploughed field, and according to one story, with the driver wearing a top hat. I've never seen a French farmer wearing a top hat and have no idea if it's true, or why it's important! Funnily enough, the 2CV is regarded as the quintessential French car, yet the Renault 4 sold many more. Another simple and durable French car. I wish I could buy something similar now!Your photos are interesting.

In Sri Lanka it's a tractor and trailer. Always made me smile seeing farmers on their way to church in Sunday best with the family on the (highly decorated) trailer! Both are daily drivers for some around here!
Nice unrestored Motoconfort U54C I reckon.Especially for @Rannsachair . At first i thought Motosacocche, then it looks like sport letters.
