Very close !
Had a flattening of battery and in the process of swapping for a good one "somehow" ended up with being locked out with the bonnet closed but the O/S passenger window open enough to force arm thro. Tool made to reach bonnet release handle . String was to retrieve stick in event of dropping inside car due to ageing fumbly fingers.

Made a few hats for tomorrow's craft fair. They sell quite well for us. It's not really a core thing for us but we get asked for them. Since starting doing them we have sold over 40!
Do you stitch the leather tabs on or just laser them in position pre stitched on.

They are heat activated glued on. I laser them flat and use a Circuit hat iron to attach them.

Chap on another forum makes these rifle butt things, and at a reasonable price.
But not usually in brass and I like shiny
Made some ply templates, cut on the Femi, then some careful shaping.
Bit of polishing, cut some NBR sheet for the pad & Evostick on, will put some caps on for the screw holes.
Pleased how it's turned out, and quite nice to shoot off a tripod.

Added an undershelf to that bench extension I made for the 3D printer. Ordered a couple of these, the other day:
so that I can pop a monitor on the front of the bench, & the second was in order to use the bracket under the shelf so that I can stash the monitor out of the way, underneath the shelf, when not in use.

I really like this, to me this looks like an original ancient piece.
How is this going to be rustprotected?
If I made that I’d want it left natural or maybe waxed,it’d enhance the appearance.

NIce job! Don't know if your interested, but a neighbour has a very similar fence to that (wood slats and concrete posts), and he painted the posts with the same cuprinol stuff that he did the slats in and it actually looks really good. To be honest, from 10 or 15 yards, you couldn't tell they weren't timber posts.
