I was just going to seal the switch box with some black rtv or similar but I found some 1mm rubber at the workshop so decided to see how it would laser. Took a good lot of attempts to find decent settings but in the end I got there and made a gasket that works perfectly.

I used to get my lad to print replacement gaskets for Harting plugs in TPU.

4kw Motor from Martin in the freebies, thanks again, and a few other bits and pieces as I didn't fancy altering the insides of the transwave.

Amazing how much faster everything spins up and seems to run a little smoother. Would be nice to get a measurement of current and volts at some point in the future

Made fire.

Contributed a good deal of brush and branches to our next-door neighbour's burn pile, which has become a semi-annual event for a few residents on our street. The photo below shows the initial 8-foot-high 'starter' pile of wood and brush, to which we added about three times that much wood and brush over the course of a few hours. The radiated heat was quite intense. Our neighbour had to obtain a burn permit from the fire department to make that big of a fire.

I made some beer cans into storage with 3D printed lids and a rack to hold them on the CNC.

Today I was caught flashing by the side of the road...
We sometime cross cows across a road to a neighbouring block and trafic ignores signs. I tried a flashign light with AA batteries but it was useless.
Temu's finest ciggie lighter powered flashing light (https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_fs=1&goods_id=601100624400672&sku_id=17596627816882), a De Walt battery adapter to 12V output (https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_fs=1&goods_id=601099532212279&sku_id=17592283465293) and a cigarette lighter socket and some solder joints and heat shrink.
I made a bracket out of RHS and light channel from the offcuts bin to sit on top of a metal post by the road with some leftover paint.
Works well and the light just lifts on and off the post.

Unlike almost everyone else Dewalt does its battery discharge protection in the tool - the batteries themselves have nothing stopping them over discharging and damaging themselves.

I am making, still waiting on the geared motor from China but I have everything else prepared. Today I made the aluminium foot and anodised it and also made the washer to hold the rubber boot in place which will hopefully protect the bronze bushes and stainless ball joint , the threaded shaft etc I made a few weeks ago.

Got a start with my garage doors. All the timber was free barring the 3x2 cls for the door frames these doors are to replace a scabby up and over door.

My effort is a bit timid. Made a couple of trestles from some free wood.
