I've been avoiding commenting, as I know how these heaters should be installed, but a couple more minor points.
The 205degC reading, is from the heat sensor which is mounted on the outside of the heater body, not the actual burn temperature. In the dark, with them running at full power, you can usually see the exhaust pipe glowing dull red where it exits the heater, so at that point, it's a lot hotter than 205degC. However by the end of the stock exhaust, it's usually cool enough to not char any wood that it might happen to pass through.![]()
The air inlet should be pointed downwards to avoid any water/condensation running into the heater.
I was deliberately avoiding mentioning the insulation as I'm sure you'll be aware that if the stainless exhaust is glowing, then it's probably a bit hotter than the 300degC rated insulation. You neatly avoided mentioning the insulation as well

Personally, I'm currently installing a new heater as I want to move it to the middle of my workshop, and I've got one of the bulkhead fittings meant for fitting heaters to boats. Install is currently stalled though, as I can't currently find anywhere to plasma/laser cut the plates I've designed for mounting it, and my CNC plasma cutter is at least a couple months away from completion :/
I'm not in my armchair...but I am sitting down...
Is that a horrible kink in the exhaust pipe?
Same point about exhaust....ensure it has a downhill run - which it may well do.
At least this armchair sitter has a bit paper saying they've been trained to install and maintain mobile diesel heatersI'm sure your view of my install and indeed the exhaust is great from your armchair
Good luck with your install

Cheers mate Yeah it’s the same as mine. The PSU didn't come with it but it is a 30a and runs the heater without issue
Gratuitous re carbonisation. I hope you’re booked back in for re programming.
My workshop heater. I remember the days every household had one of these, but you never see them nowadays.
Ten minutes on medium setting and my workshop is like toast.
If I’d known about diesel heaters I’d probably have incorporated one while I was building the place.
