I had that tanks transporter/tank, but a big lad from up the village stole it off me. (I was about 7...)

I played with big transporters & trailers etc like that at 19 Tank Transporter Regiment RCT as a REME Mechanic back in the mid 1970's .

Whilst there I helped / chaperoned a guy called John Church .. a model maker , whilst he was taking measurements and loads of photos so he could design model the two old petrol MK1 & 2 with V8 16 spark plugged meteor 204 ?? Rolls Royce badged shortened from V12 airplane RR engines & the MK 3 diesel engine ones ......... a 6.2 litre 8-cylinder supercharged diesel engine; power: 333 bhp

Choose this one because specs are enough legit little bit below its Makita counterpart.
Same shape of the one you find that claim 1800 Nm.
This one is more inline with the original at 700Nm.
I've ordered the bare unit
I already have the 350Nm one which kinda works fine just like the Parkside brushed one.
Just wanted something stronger just in case.
3/4" drive in future

Thought about this would take longer but 3/4" is on the way home
They say 3300Nm which is more than the onevan equivalent at 3100 but if it has 1800Nm it would be more than adequate for me.
Now a torque multiplier and big sockets set and all my Bolt unbolting needs are satisfied

I don't think I can be much clearer, all three bins stickered the same.

Also a ⅜" drive adapter for my Makita ratchet...

Now the replacement has arrived I can guarantee I will either find the other one I lost or immediately lose the ¼" one.

My friends 4m pole sticks are broken and one stolen last week, I could have used one today! I was pruning a weak apple tree that would have snapped if I climbed to the tips.
He told me, B&Q Magnusson have one that looks near identical for £85, rather than £130 for the Fiskars UPX86. The Magnusson also has a pruning saw, which is an extra ££ for the Fiskars. I believe they are made by them rather than being a clone and the quality does look the same, well possibly better in some ways. The pivot might be lighter duty, we will see!

Also a black friday... 3M Peltor X5A ear defenders for £30. One of the best noise reductions I believe, 37db. Will be more pleasant when near the chipper!

Fingerless gloves from Screwfix have been a revelation today. The low temperatures and a touch of arthritis in my hands have made life awkward but the gloves are a joy to wear.

As is the Stanley P3 dust mask. It was a perfect fit straight out of the box so no more having to suffer breathing in nasty sawdust particles.

And an old but unused heavy duty barbender

There is no brand on (?) but it's really accurately made.
I would like to make a small trolley for it, to park when not in use (it is too heavy to lift) and some kind of quick way to fix it to a wall when I use it, ideas welcome.

I always knew them as a knuckle bar.

People that use the swingle or nut spinner bars for undoing very tight nuts or bolts usually have dragging knuckles ???

The tiny pivot pin is just so not strong enough of most jobs and those that are usually see one of the shoulder break/ crack ..perhaps that's why they are called breaker bars ?

Put it at just above belly button height or slightly higher on four 100 mm dia 360 degree rotating lockable heavy duty red rubber tyred braked castors on a decent heavy stand with a 10 mm thick 900 x 900mm steel top .
That way you can lock it steady from any side or end if access is tight /difficult and you can easily move it as & when needed .

Yes something like this indeed, but I do think I'll need to fix it to a wall to use it.
It takes a three meter 5cm ID scaffold pipe as a handle, so I will pull it over otherwise I think.

Yes, and I was surprised at just how much difference they made.

My workshop is an unheated single garage and the walls are made of diamond hard stone and yesterday it was baltic in there, but the gloves made being in there more than bearable. They're thick enough to keep my hands warm but thin enough to allow movement, and for £6.99 a pair I'll happily get some more next time I'm passing Screwfix.

I saved two fifteen drawer units from the skip at the local hospital as well as four floor standing fans..

my mate said come quick to a site he was working at once as the are chucking out sheets of ply , there where 48 sheets of 18mm ply driven over once by a forklift then chucked !! i had to make two trips !
