Pipe jointing compound and horsehair. Most of us on here probably have the first. Parcel string or long fibre cotton wool is an alterative. Undo the gland nut and clean out the old stuffing, work the jointing compound into the horse hair/string/cotton wool and then wrap it several turns around the tap spindle and push into the gland, then tighten the gland nut onto the stuffing.
