Why don't the police simply spray some more glue on them, and add feathers ?I want some of that protester glue. I've never had any glues capable of sticking me to dirty, oily, wet rough surfaces well enough to require a a specialist team to get it off
It also needs moisture, or hydroxide ions to cure. If you put a lot betwen two surfaces then the middle may never set if no moisture gets to it. To improve setting I usually breath onto each surface to get just the right amount.Remember superglue can take up to 24hrs to fully cure when a lot is applied like I did.
Have you got a label??It’s good for cuts, I’ve had cuts on my head and hands stuck together.
Best super glue I’ve used was stuff my wife got from her work. Came in a 20ml bottle, would stick anything together and once stuck it wasn’t coming apart. They used it for sticking bronze pieces into ceramic models.
Have you a photo of the bottle?Used one by Permabond to stick 3 bits of 12mm steel plate together before milling and linishing. Incredibly strong.
I was concerned the heat from the linisher would break the bond.
No chance! It took 15 mins with a blow lamp to heat it enough. I had an infrared thermometer. Needed 220c before it let go!
So many uses!View attachment 462948View attachment 462949View attachment 462950View attachment 462951
This is Wales. Humidity often 95%It also needs moisture, or hydroxide ions to cure. If you put a lot betwen two surfaces then the middle may never set if no moisture gets to it. To improve setting I usually breath onto each surface to get just the right amount.
Not permabond after all.Have you a photo of the bottle?
Unfortunately not, the last bottle we had was over twenty years ago. White bottle with a red top and label. I’ll ask Mrs migmac if she can remember the name, won’t be till tomorrow thoughHave you got a label??
So washing with water may be a good thing? You don't want to leave it dripping, but wiping over with paper towel until it looks dry by eye is in the ball park?It also needs moisture, or hydroxide ions to cure. If you put a lot betwen two surfaces then the middle may never set if no moisture gets to it. To improve setting I usually breath onto each surface to get just the right amount.
This open bottle is about 3 years old. My warehouse is like a fridge but occasionally it can hit 30C. Doesn't seem to have effected it.Superglue has supposed to have a limited shelf life, but it can be greatly extended by keeping it in a freezer.
Have you got a label??
Couldn’t have been good glue then!Mrs migmac can’t remember anymore about the glue than I can. Don’t know why it hasn’t stuck in my mind![]()
