I'd reckon that having a flat tyre on a motorcycle in the middle of Scotland, with it starting to snow, no tools, and a serious dose of the tom - tits would give most situations a good run for their money....

Now if you had a really runny snotty nose to boot , that would really be funny , you'd have to be very careful which hand you held which tissue paper in .. assuming you had any said tissues in the first place .

I don't like the automatic opt in for organ donation. It's far too close to the state deciding that they own you. Informed consent is much more important in these things.

The medical profession has put in a lot of work, sometimes against opposition from within, to stress and obtain informed consent. In one go that's be removed and is back to assumed consent.

Someone saying 'Yes' is a good distance away from some one else saying 'Well, they didn't say no.'

I'd signed up ages ago with the medical school I'm in the catchment for - seem to recall they will dispose of what's left once the students had finished playing practical jokes with what's left. I don't understand this pure cremation lark - do you hand them a chunk of money now; and when you croak, they fire up the oven etc. Seems in the years between you croaking and the fire, pure can earn extra from interest on your payment? Why not drop the cash into an ISA or something specifically for the funeral? Might earn enough extra to pay for many beers afterwards? Buying a crem compatible coffin off ebay, and a couple of phone calls to book a slot at the crem is hardly arduous. Last funeral I organised was so hassle free - just bought a plot on a green burial site, collected the deceased and tipped them into the hole, and adjourned to local pub (having pre-warned them the day before), and all got fed and watered via credit card tab behind the bar.

If you look at inflation then prepaying years ahead is a cheap way of legally getting disposed of to leave as much dosh as possible to those left behind . Think we paid £968 each for our burnup.. collected anywhere in UK mainland included in the price

I still have memories of American body farms, that was enough.

Diseased or damaged body parts are just as much if not even better items to learn from at medical schools .. every shroud has a silver lining .

Not convinced they would find silver in my linings although I'm given to understand, like other elements, we all have a micro spec of it with in us.

But yeah, diseased organs/tissue is as important as healthy ones.
