One of those bloody days today!!
Does anyone else start the day aiming to achieve one thing, but spend most of the day doing side activities to get back to where you started?
Job = start putting up conduit in workshop ready for final wiring. seems relatively simple
Side activity "1" drive to Colchester to get conduit clamps because Braintree dont have any, get there system shows they have 241, want box of 100, they only have box of 50 in stock, system wrong
Get back, get metal clad wall boxes ready for conduit glands, these boxs only have knockout for 20mm conduit gland. FFS!!
Side activity "2" go to friends farm and borrow mag drill adaptor and some mag drill bits, 2hrs later after cup of tea, get back to realise mag drill adaptor wont fit in current chuck in pillar drill, need to change chuck, cant find morse wedge, Side activity "3" go find bit of 5mm steel to cut morse wedge, change chuck. Drill adaptor is bit bent, Side activity "4" put it in lathe and quick skim to get concentric.
then go find large machine vice to hold everything im place. drill pilot hole bias to the front of the box so 25mm conduit lock nut will still fit inside.
6 hours after should have had the wall boxes ready, finally =

Interesting week really.
KTM starter clutch, had to make a puller to help the proper puller take the flywheel off, what a crap design!.
BMW Paralever solid bushing conversion.
Triumph Sprint 1050, interesting one!. It was ridden with the check engine light on until it stopped, battery had basically exploded.
Fitted a new battery and MOSFET Regulator but on trying to start the bike immediately blew the Fuel Injection fuse.
Long story short it had fried the ECU/PCM although surprisingly it looked OK from the outside still.
Expensive lesson learned there, don't ignore the CEL (probably lit due to overvoltage).

Is that the type that has the removable grease nipples and socket cap to blank the greasing holes off? Wanna see what happens when someone installs this and never greases it then sell it to the new owner who has NO CLUE that it's been done?
