Got this to replace my welded up Record of a similar size that due to the welding the jaws didn't line up right on. This should be much better.
That'll be an interesting repair, weld and mill, I presume.....A brand new Clarke cold steel chop saw with coolant pump, i paid £30 quid for it , RRP £360 , with only one minor little itsy bitsy fault...
It was crushed during delivery to the warehouse and it's snapped in half .

Aside from a suitable 16V psu, I'm assuming I need a docking station / port replicator to do much with this acquisition?

Well, it's a touch screen, so assuming you can charge it without a dock and that it has a woking copy of windows already installed, you will get some mileage without a dock if you don't mind prodding at a virtual keyboard with a finger or a stylus. Depends what you intend to do with itAside from a suitable 16V psu, I'm assuming I need a docking station / port replicator to do much with this acquisition?

£40 is the cheapest I can find a docking station for so far.

Thanks, I’ll take both, I’m not fussy! No sure if that warrants congratulations or commiserations![]()
That's good news my friendAfter 2 1/2 years of freedom today I acquired a new job!
Damaged on delivery to the tool shop. Was it £30 because it was already snapped in half or did the courier do it.
I dont have AC TIG and its probably monkey metal so i will make a new steel base plate for it.That'll be an interesting repair, weld and mill, I presume.....![]()
Are you a Scot by any chance Cheb ? Which reminds me ..........never buy a chainsaw off a Jock for similar reasons .Package it up, post it back to yourself, insured, and then claim it was damaged by the couriers.
