Today I acquired...........

68mm Additional to progressor hole saw set as advertised by Matt which comes with 2 adapters for threaded holesaw systems which is well handy and all a good price at 13.50 all in, and fits in the box set with room yet to spend spare. I'm still seeing a lot of choice of the (good) white holesaws still available over ebay.

Also got another hex bit screwdriver - Wolfcraft. Needed cos the other Kennedy one keeps getting borrowed...
Like the Kennedy you pull the lock ring up to insert or release the bit, seems counter intuitive and makes getting the bit out a bit harder, not sure why they are like that, I have extension bars that work the other way

Those white hole cutters, are very good, they've stopped making them, they're blue now, with fewer teeth, the white ones can be resharpened I've recently learnt.

They won't have stopped making the white holesaws. The blue ones are a completely different beast. Carbide tipped teeth, for a different niche.

And as I said a couple of weeks ago the Bosch rep, said they don't make the white ones anymore.

Road 6's. Excellent rubber I have them on my bike. £335 a pair they aint cheap but by God they work and wear well.

It's a long time since I bought a pair of tyres like that.
I have a pair of Continental's on the TRX to replace the ****e Avon's, pretty good tyres and less than £200.

That little right angle die grinder jobbie I got recently. Decided to see if the collets from any other machines matched up, so that I could get a range of sizes, rather than being stuck with just 6mm. Turns out the collets for the GGS28 are the same. The collet nut, from that machine, although a different design, is the same thread too. Had to order to check, so it was a suck it & see exercise.




Silver collet on the left is the 6mm supplied with the unit. Ones on the right are ¼" & 8mm. 3mm & ⅛" are due.



Nut on the left is the one supplied with the unit. The GGS nut is larger, but better encloses the collet. The front of the collet protrudes from the front of the supplied nut. It's flush with the front of the GGS nut.

Not today but last weekend at the boot fair. I asked the guy what he wanted for it and he said "I'll be honest mate, I can't get anything out of it, give me £15". I noted that the rests were not worn at all and the wheels were barely used and took it home.

So this evening, one new switch and abulb later, a decent white wheel fitted and I have one decent chunky 200mm bench grinder with proper solid wheel plates. FFX sell the same model but with square eye shields for £130.

I have that same bench grinder it is a great machine I get alot of use out of it. Very smooth. I use a wire wheel on one side German made and well balanced. Be warned that sealey and draper branded wire wheels come out of balance and will rattle it to death

Already cleaned down the garage and cleared the dust off the rowing machine yesterday. Used this morning attached to the circular saw and much less cleaning up. Also found out found the blow function works great at blowing the undercoat out of our Malamute dog, which should hopefully reduce the hair dropped in the house.

How are you getting on with this since?

A couple of mag stands for a project, unfortunately one of them got a bit beat up in transit so waiting on response from vendor.

It never lets me down. I use a 4ah battery on it and gives me about 20 mins runtime. Only niggles are the hose could stretch easier instead of dragging the vacuum it self and the lip of the dust bucket catches the dirt when emptying.

It's since I've started working on electrical that I've always wanted a FLUKE
I was aiming for the 117 but I'm happy with the 115 .
Next step would be a clamp meter ,an installation tester and an insulation tester .
Step by step with no rush .
Something I've learned
I used to end up with delusion to have not won an auction .
But suddenly find a much better occasion and win .
