What’s the max draw on that please Matt?
I still haven’t 100% decided what road to go down with onboard air on the work truck.

If you want to get 1100W out of 12V, be prepared to provide >90A, James ... that's some pretty substantial cables ....
EDIT: Can starter motors be easily modified for semi continuous operation?
2nd EDIT: Tail lift motors can have around 1.5kW from 12V @ 2500rpm. Get something like that from scrap or have a look at Alibaba (US$ 35-45) ....

I thought nearly all UK lettuces are grown on floating Oasis foam in massive nutrient root spray enriched tanks in long poly tunnels on rails .
Mind there is also the CNC photo recognizing electronic weeders on rails that can weed 24/7 in 4 mtr or so wide strips in soil sown crops . I though the days of manual growing and weeding of f much over half an acre of lettuce ended 12 or more years ago as it was inefficient and overly expensive .

Have you used click lock inserts because the twist to protrude ink tube units are failing , twisting and sliding back in to the body under the slightest pressure?

I have been a bit lax posting some of the work I have done lately so here goes some bits.
Had a 'bigger ' blast pot in for new hardware and plumbing as one of the customers operational units was playing up
This one has electric controls as they are faster in operating over a greater distance
Started the serious work on building the water tank for an old steam locomotive.
Had the inner and outer skins bent on a press brake late last week, so welding started today.
They want the tank from stainless steel so that is doesn't rust and let rusty bits into the water injectors for the boiler. Will complete the welding of the internals tomorrow and start on the outer skins. Want to have this completed by over the weekend.

You've lost me there... bolt action, what was asked for.
The only twist mechanisms that seem to fail are the 7mm slimline ones. I don't tend to use them.

thats a lovely looking pizza oven! its huge!
I have Hydra-Clamps and Rod cylinder seals on order but not yet arrived, so I decided to tick off one more 'get round to it one day' jobs on the JCB-3CX.
The cab doors were both originally equipped with 'door stays' allowing the door to be fixed a few inches open to get a bit more ventilation while working. Near side was present but off side has gone missing. Just an 8" length of 1/4" bar screwed into a ball joint at the tethered end, and a special button fitting that engages with the door lock at the other. Zero dealer stock and anyway listed at £24 plus VAT - so make one !
6 mm ball joint ordered on eBay (£2.99) - 1/4" bar from stock as was a bar end to make the button. Simple turning and threading job had the bits ready before the ebay delivery - which was today.
I glass blasted the parts and cold blued them with 'Perma Blue' and I was impressed with the finish it gave me - not used it before - I've had it on the shelf for a while having bought it on impulse !
All bits Loctited this morning and I've just fitted them - seem to work OK and indistinguishable from the originals

Made or modified... Eventually got a 4 Jaw on the Triumph with it's oddball massive L2 spindle nose!
I've had a brand new Bison 250mm chuck and a 300mm Pratt sat gathering dust and surface rust for a while, both needed an intermediate plate between the chuck and backplate due to their mounting hole locations and the spindle nose size.
A fortnight ago I got a 250mm pratt burnerd from @6ply on here with a D1-3 backplate, so removed that, centred with feeler guage and a square as the backplate was ever so slightly smaller than the chuck, clamped and marked the hole positions.
Stuck the backplate on the mill and tapped 4 no. M12 holes, back to the lathe for the chuck register, a sniff under 200mm had it sliding on perfect.
All done and running with 0.03mm (0.001"!) runout on the chuck body, happy with that!!
