It is true colour?
If you cant see it , you cant weld it ,,,,Neither the Ginour or IFL mask I have here is true colour afaik. Both have massive viewing windows. I'm struggling to see the weld pool/bead and stay straight to the join. Maybe a shade setting or I simply need to add more light to see what I'm doing.

I've been happily using 0.8 for body & chassis repairs on a mix of 70s cars (a lot thicker metal than modern cars).
I tried 0.6 on the Clarke90 but prefer 0.8
no harm in having an experiment ,,, let us know how you get on .On my 2005 mazda 6 last year I had lots of issues with blow through when I replaced a lot of metal on the drivers side. Now I gotta do the passenger side too. After looking at Fitzee on youtube who does a lot of work, almost entirely, on sheet metal and cars. I am willing to try his recipe, which is .6mm wire combined with Co2 as gas (better penetration at lower settings). Co2 is probably something I could use more of anyway, a lot of my welding probably doesn't need mix gas.
I used to use Co2 years ago, the thing I found with Co2 was it was more tolerant to dirty metal, I can only assume it’s because it runs hotter. I had no way of proving this, just felt this was the case.On my 2005 mazda 6 last year I had lots of issues with blow through when I replaced a lot of metal on the drivers side.
