I don't know anything about the quality, but I have already seen Draper in your postings.
I like lids that are really closed in the "closed" position.
A bit disappointing that T8 is the smallest Torx bit, there are indexable insert screws with an even smaller drive.

The grinding, the edge and the handle say never used - origin is unknown to me, I have never seen this logo.

Acquiring tools for an engine rebuild, got this SGS engine stand, definitely pays to shop around as its identical to the Laser tools stand, wouldn‘t be surprised if it’s made in the same factory, the Laser one costs almost three and a half times more.
Got a parts washer as well which will be very handy.

Laser tools often seem to me to be often overpriced. Also I had a problem with one of their airlines, the couplings were loose & not crimped down properly. On the back of the packaging it said “any problems with this ring …..” the reply I got was “why are you ringing us” “ because it says so on the packet & I thought you might be interested in a potential safety problem” all I got was complete disinterest & told to take it back. I vowed never to buy anything of theirs again if I could help it.

Really wanted another D3 or 4 but prices are inflated ATM, this ticks most of the boxes and way cheaper

I have been using eneloops for a while with good success, especially as alkaline seem to leak on anything expensive at every opportunity these days.

Ladda are supposed to be rebranded eneloop cells, with the 1900s & 750 the same as the white label eneloops, but a good deal cheaper, so I though I'd give them a go.
Got them on the charger now doing a break in, so we will see what they come back with.

Something I've always wanted, is a Nixie tube clock, but I can't really justify the cost for one, however an advert for a fake one popped up somewhere just before Christmas.

After a bit searching and research, an order was placed, and this box got delivered today-


Which contained this collection of parts -



It uses 6 separate IPS 135x240pixel screens, which can be customised to display whatever images you'd like.
However, I'm more than happy with the default option-


The displays also have RGB LEDs on the rear of them that can be programmed to provide rearward lighting.

And if anybody wants to see how genuine Nixie tubes are made, and/or what they cost, do a search for Dalibor Farny.
Or if you have an interest in old technology in general, it's worth looking at the whole story behind Dalibor Farny as the owner resurrected the production of Nixie tubes.
