Vaguely remember my big brother cooking one when was at home and shot regularly. Made a change from rabbit and pigeon. Hares were scarce by then as an aside.

nice simple sub 12 break barrel ,, and open sights ,,, learn to shoot it well , and you can shoot anything .
Cheap to buy , no bottles and faffing about , half a days shooting for a few quid , half a tin of slugs and a bottle of coke and a bar of chocolate ,,, and a packet of chalk of course ,, or a few dog biscuits.
My Ripley is in .20 ,, I like it depending on your point of view it either solves all problems fairly well ,,,, or misses them all by lots.
