Few bits and pieces of mine, i wanted to get back in too riding the bike so the missus bought me a cycle computer, unfortunately the bike won't leave the bedroom and being wireless it was quite a limited range, it works now if not ideal ! and various other bits less all the biscuits and chocolates i accumulate as the wife is diabetic !!

My wife and most other people get me Twin Peaks chocolate bars instead of the more famous triangular shaped ones beginning with the letter T after they tried stitching everyone up a few years ago buy almost halving the size of their bars.
It's the principle!

I’ve been wearing carhartt since before the soy boy man bun brigade found it.

Those buggers have pushed the prices up for us blue collar folk though I wear the bib and brace all the time.

They have also caused Carhartt to trim their range especially in the extra tall stuff and alot of it has been out of stock since covid. I want some new bibs and double front trousers but haven't seen any in stock for a long time.
There is another American company called Berne that are still proper work gear but won't post outside the us

They haven't had my size in stock for a long time. I have completed the form for stock alerts 3 times now

60% Merino wool socks, from Altberg.
Got to say these are the best socks I have ever worn. Rode home today it did nothing but blow and hiss it down for 5hrs.
I got off the bike with only wet hands or so I thought. Took my boots off (a pair a enduro boots) to find my feet dripping wet. Didnt feel wet, a little cold. As soon as I stopped for petrol fill up pay and go, they were warm again. So well happy with one of my Christmas presents.

I had my main Christmas pressie from the wife before Christmas, I needed to bend some stuff and it's pretty good

Snapped the rear propshaft clean in half on the Range Rover and got stuck in a ditch. Back out now and propshaft almost off so some phone calls in the morning to source a new one.

will that still move in front wheel drive? genuine question. I know about the chassis bits under the skin, but as for the drive? no clue.

Were you towing that Stolly back from @8ob place?
Will it run in front wheel drive with the the centre diff locked?

Santa was quite generous this year, and left me this. An Elegoo Mars 2 Pro resin printer I’ve only printed out the test castle chess pieces so far, but I’m impressed with the sharpness of the prints. I forgot to take a picture, so here’s one google google made earlier.

No chassis on this one. Proper monocoque so front and rear subframes. Diffs are fixed wrt engine and McPhearson struts on the front and double wishbones on the rear.

Theoretically possible but I don't know of a way to permanently engage the centre diff, it's under the control of the Terrain Response and normally works well on its own.

Nope, Argocat out onto the hill for some more stalking*. Stupidly stopped on the slope to let Dad get back in after shutting the gate through the neighbours yard then with 2t of dead weight behind me struggled to get going. Slid sideways slightly into the ditch and when trying to drive out that's when it snapped.

* previous day when it hadn't thawed slightly and refroze

Thatll be far more civilised than your proper Landrover, but no where near as cheap to fix! Next time let the old ma; drive and you run up up the hill after him!
