Lol. I did tell him to get back on the kitchen and make me a brew. And he did. Never been a stickler for language. (I curse far too much) they have a little leeway but know better than to do it in public. Learned through experience making things Taboo is counterproductive.If he does it again....break it!

Not today but a while ago I got a load of these box section galvanized frames and Id forgotten about them until now, hopefully going to use them as doors to the open bit of the barn and match it the other side, I want to bifold the small one off the big one but also want to be able to open the big one for big stuff, any one got any good ides for hinges? I was thinking grade 13 stainless ball bearing hinges which will take 120KG but not sure if they will manage it over the length?

Not acquired today, but used today for the first time, the original drill chuck key took a bit longer to get:
A tiny little fine drilling device (or how you correctly call it???) with Jacobs Chuck - as if made for Myfords.
It's a Jacobs No. 1A, 0 - 1/4" with cone MT2, which makes it fit perfectly into the tailstock of the little Myfords.
Comparing the drill chuck keys between this and my normal one shows how tiny this thing is.
I bought the drill chuck key called "Jacobs K1" as an "original" from a UK dealer and it fits very well - so Jacobs also manufactures in China.
At first when I saw it I thought "I want this because ... reasons", but today I realised that I couldn't have clamped this drill any other way.
The finely dosed infeed with it went very well, no drills where harmed this evening.

King of chav, have about 100 festoon coloured lights round the garden, cheers me up, proper heavy duty ex fairground cables & fittings.
Fair few dead so splashed out on some replacement LED's and very good they are too.
Went to store them in a place I would obviously remember and found this lot - will I ever remember what I still have
Today this arrived, had one 20yrs back, I'm determined to stay out lounging about in the dark until it gets too miserable.
MIC of course, quality down a bit on my original lent to a "friend"... but working well tonight.
Never realised how black and red it was in the shed !
Misery guts has taken the cushions in already, Ill be getting those back out

A nice little package from the AJS Matchless Spares Club: 2 sets new fork seals ( I have 2 Matchless's with the same forks) clutch springs, oil filters, a headlamp bulb holder and a set of original design Teledraulic fork transfers. Great you can still get most spares for mid 1950's motorcycles relatively easily.

Brought home the old Realistic scanner from my Dad's place.
Seem to recall it had a telescopic whip that plugged it where my finger is. There's no co-ax socket as such. Not sure on the best options for adding an external antenna. That blanking plate, (lower left by the sticker), I reckon could be for an external antennae, maybe on more expensive models that shared the same chassis?
