Yep! There were quite a few interesting looking vices piled up next to it, all for very reasonable prices. If I had more space I would have spent a lot more!£30 !!! Jammy git!![]()
I thought so. I haven't had a chance to look it over in detail to work out what I can do with it with the one plate that's fitted - that's a job for later, once I've figured out how to lift it out of the boot of the car! That's an absolute bargain, even without the plates.
I've found as the iron isn't on full blast like my cheaper ones they dont roast the tinning Matt.

That’s brought back some memories, I used to have one of those when I was a kid, how times have changed, mine had a mini survival kit and fishing line in the handle under the compass. I thought I was RamboJust looking at a free gift, a cheap copy " Jungle King" (ish) with the catapult.

I had one of those, just don’t put your thumb on the the grip ….… a black nail follows!Wow..!!! As a kid I so remember those Milbro catapults...![]()
Had some time to kill in the black country and got tempted in a couple of antique shops...
Firstly, this dividing head & centre seemed a bargain for £30, even though it's far too big for my current milling machine. One day I'll get a bigger mill and, as long as I can figure out a way to hoist it onto the table (it's too heavy for me to lift!), it'll be very useful.

Lots of surface rust, but everything moves very smoothly (once I'd figured out what to do with all the levers so it wasn't locked in position). Needs a chuck, but I'll worry about that once I've spent some time cleaning it up.
Also got tempted by a couple of planes (even though I really don't need any more planes) and a £40 lump of hardwood, allegedly mahogany, reclaimed from a lintel:
