I wired in the CCTV camera. The wi-fi was crap so it now has a cable to the mesh wi-fi box.

Finished the clutch swap on my Jeep ZJ, also did the o rings and seals on the back of the engine while I had it apart
Massive improvement with the new clutch, my left hip and calf appreciates it
But I still have an oil leak, slightly worse than before I changed the seals

A few weeks ago I aquired this old lighter.
I did get it to work, but it needed a bit of small works.
With help from a good member here I was able to rebuild it.
New flint, a suitable spring and a new wick.

More something I'm fixing. Vintage Bosch dishwasher that tbh just keeps on going. Needs one of it's good periodic cleans. I've done the ubiquitous "grey pipe" at the front which is always a favourite point for muck to lodge. Next, what's called the bubble matrix that's clogged up badly with scale and fat deposits.
What haven't I tried!
- Limescale remover
- No Nonsense Degreaser
- Energy drink
- Full fat Coke
- Vinegar, boiling water and bicarbonate of soda in various combinations, hot and cold.
Real stubborn this time. Got some bio digester from work in it now.

The Euro door lock failed. I could lock it from the inside, with both keys. But not from the outside.
Oh Bother I said not.
I have a spare lock, oh my, I said. but only one key. This will do a temp fix. I will amble to town, after this coffee,get a new lock. The shop will be open at 08:30.
No, at 09:00 thy are still setting up, filling the tills and hovering.
By 09:15, I have 2 new keys cut and a two Euro locks.
Why is it easier on my wallet to buy two locks, than buy one?
Home, test new keys out. Put one in the hidden keysafe and go and have a coffee.

Two broken slats on my garden coffee chair.
So a rummage in my wood pile found this.
Some tough South American Hard wood. Enough to replace the back slats, but not the base ones.
It will do, for now.

Not sure of this fix yet, cooling in the oven. I tried to mig weld cast iron, yes mig weld. Cracked stove top for a wood fired stove, promised I'd try and fix it before it went to the trash heap. Initially I thought about TIG brazing it, but it would have been impossible to braze on the bottom properly because of all the fins there. Gas brazing would've worked I think, best would probably have been nickel rods and the stick welder. I preheated to 200C and welded the top, back into the oven and welded the bottom. In the oven currently slowly ramping down. Fingers crossed...
The crack had also sprung the whole piece to the point I had to cut it in two to get it to fit again properly. Which did help in grinding the surfaces clean.

Same thing happened on mine (also a Bosch)...I ignored the advice of the neighbour who said "once they're clogged they're just good for the dump". I did 2 or 3 washed with boiling water and citric acid....that was maybe 4 years ago and its still going strong.
We also have a bosch washing machine that refuses to die too...I guess this was the well made stuff before they went down hill!

Cooled down OK, imagine that, it's mig welded! Still got some work to do. I think I could switch to tig brazing to fill the undercut, mainly cosmetic. I think using the mill to finish machine the top weld would be best. Particularly at the corners.

nothing exciting Bilstien shocks , Eibach springs and Febi top mounts on my 130 , M3 lower arms new discs and pads , a pair of calipers and a pair of tires ... looks the same and drives the same ,,,, but my wallets lightened.
then got roped into a pair of springs on a Corsa before I got home ,,, good grief they are masic after the suspension set up on the dub , the Corsa is like a wheelbarrow .
but a half six start to get mine done by lunch and a half four finish on the Corsa thats enough for one Saturday.
Coffee and one or two of the good biscuits is now called for.

Idiot boy I am, haven't tried citric acid and I've about 30kg here!
Well citric acid didn't work either
Not sure of the best concentration. Caravan pipe degreaser coming tomorrow.
