Will motorbike use increase?

I predict no, well not by any great number anyway. People won't give up the convenience of a car, we will just keep paying, I think we have proven that the last 2 months, there does appear to be a very slight steady decrease over the last month but I dont think it will continue, more likely level out. The different between £1.20/L and £1.90/L for for petrol driving 10,000 miles per year at 40mpg is £66/month.

Yep. I had a Honda Bali two stroke. Nice ride, paid peanuts for it. Then had to do the cbt, with a prospect of doing it again in 2 years. Sold.

There are already a LOT of extra bikes on the road going in and out of London. Nobody wants to get on the covid express and because TFL have closed of a huge number of back roads PLUS closed off nearly all of the bus lanes to traffic right around the clock (but not to motorcycles) it is probably now the most efficient way in and out of the city unless your home and your work are easy reach of a station.

Oh and you don't have to get a CBT if you ride one of those 3-wheeler things. Actually you don't even need a crash helmet. They're cheap to run and you can park them in motorbike bays. Bloody menace to me though coz with those two wheels they can't filter between cars and islands very well so often end up with a huge queue of fuming motorcyclists behind them.

Can't filter? Surely the wheels are narrower than the bars?

Well eventually, after two cbt's I did my test. That was somewhere around £800 if I recall...

Yes but the bars overhang islands and the wheels don't.

I've thought about using my scooter for work, however at the moment a 20 mile ride on motorway and duel carriage on a 200cc scooter with a top speed of about 65 terrifies me.Funny as 25 years ago I wouldn't have thought twice about it. I also thought of getting one of the newer 300cc vespas but at £3k its not going to happen for a while as I don't have that kind of money just hanging around.

Honda C125 Super Cub, £22 tax, 150mpg, cast wheels tubeless tyres, 60-65mph. What's not to like?

I bought a CG125 nostalgia a few years back to zip in and out of town once a week.

Because everything round here is NSL I had to give it maximum beans to not be in everyone's way. Best I got was 74 mpg.

I went to my first job aged 16 on a Honda SS50 moped. In the last 39 years I been going to work on fleets of CG125's - odd superdream - lots of RS250's - one XL185 - one GPZ500 - countless C90's - Benly 200 - and a couple of these wave things.

I done more short commuting on small honda four strokes - than I have done joy riding on big bikes.

Winter is not that bad - I am a car mechanic working in a cold workshop - I am dressed up for it (standing about in the cold).

Yeah heavy rain or snow/ice - I use a car/van - I have plenty of them about me - we sell them/hire them out!

I noticed a lot more 125's about on L plates - older people - new riding gear and new helmets. You can see them in flow of traffic not filtering - all dressed up in new gear. Reckon lot of working families going back to one car - wifey doing the school run/shopping in a car and hubby going to work on a chinese scooter/125cc bike.

No... 1984 CB250RSa. (I used the RS in the wrong format)

Only two stroke I have ever owned/used was a black Kawasaki AR80. Freebee - someone gave it to me as MOT failure. Got it thru test - duct taped seat up and used it for a year.
