I've cycled to work all my working life, 25 mile round trip for the last 15 years.
I'm a keen cyclist though and was racing most weekends, so it was a way of getting in some extra training.
I did it most weather's, however if it was icy or snow on the ground, I would take the car.
I wouldn't like to guess, but must have saved me a fortune in fuel over the years.
Some days it was mentally challenging if the weather was bad, especially the return journey if you'd had a tough day at work.
I'm retired now, and still ride most days, however I don't miss my commute!!!
