Centre finder, waste of £10?
Had one for must be 30 plus years, used to use it a lot, not so much nowadays but still handy on the odd occasion.
Every thing I got is spoken for Dan I'm afraid , but when I've time I'll call by and see if he's any left and let you know .If you've a spare 300mm bit I'd be interested and can collect, could bring some this side of the pennines if any members need them a bit closer?
know a bit more about the one without a base ?
You're not helping....
... it will infallibly fall over.

Not a collector but know that they were shaped like this to prevent the cork from drying out and the "aerated" water losing its carbonationAny bottle collectors here that know a bit more about the one without a base ?

It is a Hand Grenade bottle.Stopped by the "Shed" as they call it at the local recycling centre. Nothing good tool wise, but I did acquire a couple of old mineral water bottles.
The most interesting is the one without a base. Its marked Genuine Superior Arated Waters, Carter & Co.. , Bristol , Established 1831 .
The other bottle has the captive marble in the neck, and is marked J. Woods & Co. , Aldershot , and Mineral Water. This bottle had the remnants of a red rubber washer inside.
Any bottle collectors here that know a bit more about the one without a base ?

It states "Genuine Superior Arated Waters , Carter & Co.. , Bristol , Established 1831 ". I acquired it because it looked interesting, haven't thought about its value or selling it. Been toying with the idea of refilling it, making up a rough cork and topping it off with dirty wax as a curio, but the Wife thinks we have enough curios in the house, including me.It is a Hand Grenade bottle.
Made by the 100’s for many drink producers. Worth anything from £1 to £50. Depending on the drink or medication it contained.
Natural cork was the original stopper, before natural rubber came along. By storing the bottle on it side it kept the cork moist.
I have one or two here.
What does it say on the bottle?
That will give you a starting price.
Thanks. On the bottle the wording is spelled " Arated ".Not a collector but know that they were shaped like this to prevent the cork from drying out and the "aerated" water losing its carbonation
